Durham Sustain Ability (DSA) is a non-profit organization based in Durham that links local sustainable actions to larger global issues. Durham Sustain Ability has been creating tools for change since 1982. Our staff and volunteers focus on practical, positive solutions. Building on its success with the blue box Durham Sustain Ability uses conservation education to increase the number of residents involved in environmental practices in their homes, workplaces, and communities.

Kawartha Conservations strives to balance environmental protection, economic development and human health and safety. Their mandate is to help ensure the conservation, restoration and responsible management of water, land and natural habitats through programs and services that balance human, environmental and economic needs.

 


Scugog Lake Stewards

Scugog Lake Stewards LogoScugog Lake Stewards Inc. is a charitable organization, incorporated in Ontario, run by volunteer Board of Directors and having many additional member Stewards within the Community. Their general mandate is to protect and enhance the health of Lake Scugog through the promotion of sound environmental management practices and community stewardship. A healthy Lake Scugog is pivotal to the economic health of Scugog Township.


Durham Land Stewardship CouncilDurham Land Stewardship Council

Durham Land Stewardship Council was established in 1996 as part of a province-wide Private Land Resource Stewardship Program. This innovative Program, now known as Ontario Stewardship, encourages community partnerships and private land stewardship. The Durham Land Stewardship Council is one of 40 stewardship councils operating in southern Ontario, each one reflecting local stewardship priorities.
